Age of Empires

Recollecting yesterday's dream !!! I watched a recent Hindi flick "BhoolBhullaiya" late night and slept. The movie had a little suspense( I bet there was) and some crappy old kingdom story line; but overall it sucked.. But I had a related dream...thats what i found worth mentioning.

In the dream I am the ruler of a kingdom and as expected had all the luxuries of life ; reigning over a good part in India ..though can't recall which part.. Anyways...I had the best people around me who would care about my comforts and who were bound to follow me.. and to my surprise now...I was an ideal king as many would say in the dream kingdom. The state had been built on a good plan. Monarchy was prevailing and the king had it all .The state was really well governed and virtually free of crime and as the rules of land made by me were tough(I had the best law makers) ! The extracts being instant death sentences in case of not fully abiding by the law and yeah people feared the law keepers from what I recall now. I had the police on patrol in the kingdom 24*7 and they knew they duties. The criminals held in the kingdom were brought to me in my darbar and a hearing was done and then i used to decide their fates !
It was just another day in the kingdom and a criminal had been caught . just when I started to feel now I am going to use my power and decide his fate but suddenly my door was knocked then only and my wingie woke me up and the culprit Gupta was cursed ! The kingdom was lost and the criminal would have been still biting his nails waiting the decision.Damn it ,I was not able to catch the sleep again and lost the silly dream.
But now when i think about that i am confused and somehow feel that it ain't a bad idea to have states in the 21st century like kingdoms with monarchy.I know democracy cant be replaced by this and its a poor thought.. but still it's to complete my dream story... Yeah its a fact that crime rates used to be lower than today at the times of great rulers in India but again it could have been the people who were loyal and good at those times unlike present day people who tend to be more glossy and its an accepted fact that they belong to a generation of equal opportunities to all. Not all were allowed to be kings in earlier times unlike today and no body can be denied any right in the present date. But still it is possible to choose our kings and obey them and their laws in states . Not that they wont be followed as people show signs of following others even in modern date.Following a king in a state ; I believe is not on cards these days but not impossible . Modern date people fan follow Shahrukh and the likes like mads, pray cricket as a religion ; they listen good music, know their own Indian and western quotients ; believers follow religions and many others do more similar stuff that gives signs of monarchy in this world too.
Ending here on this note that the day democracies fail in this world, which might be the case seeing the present day crimes, corrupt standards, world politics ; Monarchies are going to make a comeback and I am of a firm belief that the kingdoms and the people will be better off as per safety norms and the sufferings in the modern society will be less compared to now; the only need is to make sure the best kings are chosen !
And I want to re-dream my kingdom tomorrow night! Probably acting selfish here as I am the 'Power'.

Thought !

Taking a short break from the regular college day , I set out with a close friend to Jhunjunu. I had some passport application thing but I think the day meant to me a bit more. Probably strengthened my belief that observing nature and the life around you can leave a far reaching impact on our mind.
Sitting in a local Roadways Bus passing a typical village road with distinctive crowd around - There were aspiring students, office commuters and many a people whom you can figure out of a typical village background. It was as if a whole village had planned to visit the adjoining town.

The roads were more or less deserted most of the times , though a highway. The view around was more or less a typical Rajasthan Barren lands. On the way , we somehow came on the topic of what are the aims we all aspire in general. Starting from a bottom up approach; I wondered probably a house to live in; regular household things and a regular source of income should probably suffice life's dream! Now for the next level - a great professional career and a labelled successful man with loving family should suffice anyone's golden dream!
I had a quick glance of the people around and my eyes got fixed on a poster on the deck of the bus that a new Government policy has been introduced in Rajasthan to offer money to impart education among masses which are BPL(Below Poverty Line). The poster suddenly struck a chord in our minds that there are actually many Indias in one India.
The thought that if only everyone is able to earn his bread; children everywhere are getting atleast basic education and minimum possible requirements for living a healthy and prosperous life. A journey to an India where "Nobody is labelled BPL". I am sure that this journey might take time but with the focussed efforts from all we should be there. As citizens of such a great country I think its the moral responsibility of us all to contribute to this collective goal. Every professional directly or indirectly has a role to play in this great Indian dream. Choose your contribution and remember together we can make a difference.

My first ever!

First things first.Heard bloggers define a new world and a free flow of thoughts is a must.kudos to you all and i myself welcome ME to the family.I had an idea of having my own blog space since long but just couldnt kickstart, the guy next door prompted me to follow him and create a blog; anyways here it is my first ever blog.
Mixed thoughts: After a week long of hectic schedule here I am sitting doing virtually nothing and guess what mind still believes this is the best time to rejoice you have got;make the most of it!The COLDPLAY music running in the background ; eternal bliss for me! Just now a thought crept . Lets pen it down.Recently I read an article on how one and his environment are in constant equilibrium as in both affect each other equally and perhaps one being the smaller entity is always the one most affected and by default more prone. No denying you affect your environment equally. One is always affected by the kind of things he sees around him and in nature nothing happens without a reason. I am a firm believer that the wisdom level of a person always goes up exponentially in the conducive environment. Though a word of caution is mandatory here; make your choices and stand tall. Once someone guided me -While making crucial decisions in life we should visualize where that decision lands you up in your life! After all some forces in universe secretly guide you to become what you really want to be. So what I think essentially in life its all about your priorities and the choices you make at each level.
Make the entities around you count and collectively get the best out of everyone including yourself. A real leader is someone who leads silently and works for the collective goal of both him and the society.
